Technogod

There is more evidence for the existence of a Technogod than any other God worshiped today.

Technogod is omniscient.

Technogod is omnipresent.

Technogod answers all our prayers.

This art is inspired on the short movie '7 Days of Artificial Intelligence'

Burning Souls

This precious liquid that enriches few and kills many?

Portals to the underworld have opened, filled with materials that once were living, now smell putrid and sharp, and spread soot through the air.

We brought to the surface what nature, throughout life, has judged necessary to store underground, in deep soil, far away from us human beings living on the surface.

We set fires and spread smoke all over the planet, covering with a thick fog the hope of a decent future for children. You breathe death, and there is no escape from it. Or is there still time?

Mismanagement

This audio is from Jair Bolsonaro, in an interview in 1999, more than 20 years before he took the chair as president of Brazil.

This artwork was produced in the heat of September 7, 2021, when the country celebrated Independence Day, while Bolsonaro was attempting a coup by calling on the population to disobey the other branches of government and challenging the democratic institutions.

The work references the atrocities caused by the president during his mismanagement. He carries on his back the responsibility for the death of more than 600.000 Brazilians due to his negligence during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the last four years, he proved all his incompetence, leaving the country in chaos, with its population unemployed and starving.

The Cattle

In the last decade, Brazil has seen a terrifying increase in the devastation of the Amazon, with deforestation for cattle farming and the spread of gold mining, which puts the existence of indigenous peoples at risk.

In 2021, the country saw a record mark in September, with devastating areas equivalent to 4 thousand soccer fields daily. The problem is old and has worsened in this Bolsonaro government when they decided to 'slip the herd past'.

They have loosened environmental laws, dismantled inspection teams for timber exploiters, and given a free pass to gold miners. This combination results in unprecedented destruction.

This is the portrait of Brazil, of the elite that finances the destruction of nature and the extermination of the indigenous peoples, disrespecting our fauna and flora to fill their own pockets. Those put in charge of protecting are the ones who cause the most harm.
