Lapa Jazz
Lapa Jazz is a jazz festival in Rio de Janeiro, hosted at the iconic Fundição Progresso and featuring artists like Xênia França, Amaro Freitas, Nelson Faria, OZMA, Foli Griô and Muntchako. I was invited to create the full visual identity, from the main poster to motion pieces for the entire campaign.
Challenge
The festival needed a strong, contemporary identity that felt like jazz. Fluid, rhythmic, and eclectic. It had to stand out in Rio’s busy cultural scene and work across very different formats. from collectible posters to animated billboards and digital screens in metro stations, buses and airports.
My Role
I led Art Direction, Graphic Design and Motion Design for the event. I developed the main visual concept and key art, then adapted it into posters, banners and a full motion package used on billboards and digital OOH. I created looping animations and layout variations so the identity stayed coherent and recognizable wherever people saw Lapa Jazz around the city.
